ABOUT
Weekly Meetings
Pitch. Defend. Refine. Repeat.
BGC hosts weekly one-hour meetings where one or two members pitch a long or short equity idea supported by a two-page written thesis. Each pitch includes a clear price target, thesis overview, and risk framework. The entire membership participates in live critique, challenging assumptions, probing blind spots, and reinforcing clarity. These sessions are fast-paced, analytical, and intentionally demanding — designed to sharpen instincts and reward preparation. The final, refined theses are published through our research platform to showcase the depth and discipline of our work.
Equity Research
Serious Work, Serious Accountability.
Our analysts don’t write for a grade — they write to be right. BGC produces institutional-grade equity research focused on long and short global equities. Each idea is stress-tested over time: updated, challenged, and evaluated against real market outcomes. We track conviction, review performance, and critique execution to ensure our work holds up beyond the room. Research is expected to reflect original thought, careful modeling, and clear insight — and undergoes continuous refinement. What we publish is just the surface — behind it is a rigorous process that teaches our members how to think like professionals.
Speaker Events
Unfiltered Access to Market Leaders.
Big Green Capital regularly invites leading voices from the world of finance, economics, and business to speak with our members. Some events are open to the broader Dartmouth community, while others are closed-door and off-the-record — designed for honest, high-level conversation, not surface-level lectures. Our speakers include investors, operators, and thinkers who bring insight from hedge funds, private equity, and public markets. These sessions give members exposure to how professionals think about risk, capital, and markets — and help shape the way we develop our own judgment. We curate these events carefully to match the intellectual tone and ambition of our group.
Community
Sharp People. Strong Bonds.
At the end of the day, BGC is about the people. We’re building a group that’s not just sharp, but tight-knit — where everyone takes the work seriously, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Outside of meetings, we hang out, debate, eat, and talk about stuff that has nothing to do with markets. We want this to be a place where high standards and real friendships can grow side by side — and we’re building that culture one person at a time.
